At RUD, We Wear Pink
Last updated 11 months ago
Heat treated powder coatings... Lifting chains... Pink... You don’t often see these three phrases together in one sentence, much less find them under one company roof. But that’s where we at RUD Chain USA come into the picture.
Founded in 1980, RUD Chain was created as a North American division of The RUD Group, a leading manufacturer of chain systems and components. Our parent company, RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG was founded in 1875 by Carl Rieger and Friedrich Dietz in Aalen, Germany. Today, under the ownership of the Rieger family, the RUD company has become a global leader in the chain industry. When there came a point where competitive necessity dictated they expand overseas, the Rieger family selected a location in Eastern Iowa, and thus came the U.S. subsidiary of the RUD Group—RUD Chain Inc. Our specialty product line revolves around high-performance lifting chains and chain products, including tire protection chains, hoist chains, conveyor chains, snow chains, sling chain systems, and rigging attachments, among many others. Our core competency is the heat treatment of alloy steels, which is where the strength and durability of a chain begins.
If you have seen any of our products in action, then we can bet you haven’t forgotten them. Why is that? Aside from the durability and strength of our high-quality lifting chains and chain products, which are German-engineered, it could be because the appearance of our quality lifting chains and chain products leaves such an impression: they are all pink! Essentially, the color comes from the heat indicating powder coating that we apply to all of our lifting and lashing products as a safety feature; however, the vibrant color that has proven to be unique to our company has also become a well-established signature identifier.
Would you like to see some of these pink products we are so proud of? We thought you might. Check them out at our website www.rudchain.com, and make sure to check back here for monthly blog updates!
