LUBRICATING POINTS: Check the lubrication and pivot points of the automatic chains as part of the vehicle’s routine servicing.
AIR CYLINDER: Inspect for damage and corrosion. Clean with a high-pressure sprayer, allow to dry, and spray lightly with oil.
PIVOTING MOVEMENT: Activate several times with the vehicle at rest. Replace parts if damaged or worn.
HEX BOLTS: Check torque and condition of chain wheels, as well as contact ring and bearings. Replace as needed.
CONTACT POSITION: Check contact height and angle of chain wheels on sidewall of drive tire according to the mounting instructions. Also, check the condition of the vehicle’s tires and the amount of tread wear. Adjust chain wheel height as needed (See Mounting Instructions.)
RECOMMENDATIONS: Remove the cylinder units during the warmer, off-season months. To do this, remove the two retaining bolts for the cylinder bracket and mounting tube. Follow the assembly instructions when re-fitting. Cap air lines to prevent dirt from entering the compressed air lines.
